Oftentimes, they're burned out and reach out for my services just in the knick of time. Questions asked by an interviewer are based on the competencies required to perform the job successfully... If a job description states they are looking for ANALYTICAL and CRITICAL THINKERS, here are some examples of behaviour-based interview questions you might be asked in a job interview: ✨Describe a time you involved others in solving a problem. How did you identify those that could help? ✨Describe a situation where you used your fact-finding skills to gain information needed to solve a problem. ✨Tell me about a time that you made a decision that turned out to be a mistake. If given a redo, what would you do differently? ✨Tell me about a time where you were required to translate large amounts of data into a useful summary. Don’t forget to answer behavior-based job interview questions using the STAR technique identifying SPECIFIC EXAMPLES. 1. Identify and explain the SITUATION 2. Explain what TASKS needed to be done and your responsibility 3. Explain the specific ACTIONS you took and why you chose those steps 4. Describe the RESULTS of your actions – elaborate on your learnings or if you would have handled the situation differently looking back 💕Don’t forget to save this post for later! ✨Stick To A Daily Routine Get up in the morning, ✨Stick To A Daily Routine Get up in the morning, get dressed, eat breakfast, grab your ☕️ , and make your TO DO list. ✨Visualize Your Day In A Positive Way It is easy to get stuck thinking the world or applicant tracking systems are against you. Visualize the response you want to get from your job applications and interviews. Manifest a successful mindset. This is especially important to do just before heading into a telephone screen or job interview. Don’t emit negative, self-sabotaging vibes. ✨Get Organized and Create Attainable Job Search Goals Some of the anxiety paired with job searching results from a lack of organization. Organize your job search so you feel less overwhelmed. When you create a job search goal (I prefer daily goals if you are unemployed and weekly if you are employed and looking for a new job), ensure that is reasonable. ✨Get Active We all know that exercise releases all those happy chemicals that naturally make you feel better. Step away from the computer, go for a walk and grab some fresh air to clear your mind. Or do a full-on workout. Whatever floats your boat and gets those happy chemicals brewing! ✨Take Breaks and Give Yourself a Break Job seekers can be left feeling burnt out. Self care is important through the job search process. Take time for yourself…schedule time to do things you love. And, if you need to, take a break. Not a long break. But give yourself a day or two to completely turn off and enjoy some YOU time. You deserve it. You will return to your job search recharged and motivated. ✨Audit Your Job Search Strategy and Pivot As Albert Einstein once said… “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.” If you aren’t making changes to your job search strategy and pivoting as required, you are gonna drive yourself crazy. By tracking your job search you should be able to identify what is working and what’s not working. ✨Hire a Job Search Coach Hiring a job search coach can help you achieve success quicker with less overwhelm. They will also be your biggest cheerleader and help you stay motivated. 💕Don’t let job searching get you down! You’ve got this!
